Description

  • Manage daily freight forwarding activities of the company to include all sea, air, road operations import/export process and warehousing.
  • Handling operations, daily follow up with Carrier/Agents for shipments arrival date.
  • Follow up shipping instructions and coordinate shipments with Customers.
  • Prepare shipping instructions and coordinate shipments with shipping lines.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, and the achievement of KPIs
  • Able to deal with shippers/consignees requirements
  • Able to deal with truckers and customs clearance brokers
  • Able to deal with agents worldwide
  • Explore new fields of business development
  • Maintaining good relations with shipping Lines and clients
  • Develops people to their highest potential through necessary training and performance management
  • Responsible for ensuring cross training for all positions is complete and documented
  • Maintaining customers focus on all times and answers to customers’ inquiries using the standards guidelines
  • Able to take ownership of complaint and queries and proactively following through to resolutions

Requirements

  • Must possess Bachelor's/College Degree in any course
  • Has more than 8 years’ experience in the business-related work experience specifically in the import and export business / trucking and deliveries
  • Prior experience in big global freight forwarding companies
  • Knowledgeable in the IMPEX process, prioritize the ones with is familiar with global forwarding process
  • Knowledgeable in local regulations
  • Good coordination in forwarders and brokers.
  • With ability to deal with client or must be client-oriented
  • Has experience in sales or customer service
  • Has experience in business development
  • Strong experience and knowledge on all modes of delivery such as trucking, airline, shipping
  • Managerial skills, problem-solving, Leadership, Customer Service, Planning & Organizing, Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, advanced office applications and other computer softwares
  • Excellent English skills or communication skills is a plus
  • Experienced with handling general cargo shipments and all related issues
  • Have the ability to handle issues with any partner in this business (shipping line, cargo owners, brokers and involved authority).
  • Ability to find new clients and have the skills to communicate with them.
