We are seeking highly skilled Platform Engineer to join one of our esteemed clients' teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement (2-3x in the office).

Day-to-Day Job Duties:

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the team as a senior member.
• Ensure the company’s systems operate at peak efficiency, performance, and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing root cause analysis.
• Develop monitoring and alerting tools
• Deploy new releases of the company’s SaaS applications with minimal impact on customers.
• Automate tasks to maintain or increase the high server-to-engineer ratio.
• Participate in our on-call roster with your fellow SRE’s.
• Conduct performance and reliability tests to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Provide day-to-day support to engineering teams and internal processes.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience with modern SaaS platforms, Kubernetes, and a major public cloud (Azure or AWS).
• Proficiency in a scripting language (ruby, bash, python, etc.).
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and visualization tools (Grafana, SumoLogic, Datadog, etc.).
• Understanding of automated provisioning tools like Chef or Ansible.
• Experience with containerization and PaaS products.
• Experience in management of server operating systems (Ubuntu Linux and / or Windows Server).
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior SRE or similar function (DevOps engineer etc).
• Proven history working with complex cloud infrastructure on AWS and / or Azure.
• Proven history and comfort managing platform / SRE projects across multiple teams.
• Able to communicate effectively with other local and remote teams, to help and educate them in the standards our Platform Teams set.
• Have an engineering mindset of curiosity and the ability to work independently through a problem to a solution in a collaborative team environment.
