About the Role:
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our leadership team in Angeles City. Based onsite you will represent the global team at the local level, acting as an essential business partner to all stakeholders within this complex organization. You will oversee the end to end finance workflow and be responsible for the P&L of the site. As an internal finance subject matter expert, you will identify issues, provide solutions and lend credible expertise to strengthening financial efficiency and cost management of the business.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, manage and oversee the implementation of the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes. Provide guidance and work closely with remote peers to ensure cross-locational consistency and best practice across the finance workflow.
- Establish and document all finance policies and procedures, set up the mechanism needed to activate this best practice across the site. Run training and coaching sessions with all stakeholders to ensure adherence, escalate issues of non-adherence to mitigate risk. Ensure compliance controls and segregation of duties are in place.
- Check, review and ensure compliance of all departments with the company's policies and procedures, particularly on procurement processes and operations related requests that are financial in nature.
- Take responsibility for the site’s cash management process which includes but not limited to bank reconciliation, weekly cash requirement forecasting, payroll review and weekly disbursement processing. Implement necessary controls and processes to ensure information captured on all disbursements are accurate, not limited to:
- Support the company to substantiate all the identified spend analysis prior to release of any request for vendor payments on a weekly basis
- Provide reasonable assurance on integrity of spend incurred in invoices
- Timely and accurate submission of weekly and monthly reports to support the cash transactions from the site
- Ensure proper filling of source documents to substantiate invoice value and able to present the same upon request from global stakeholders.
- Set up monthly audit processes focused on the financials of the site with particular focus on the costs incurred by the company and related accounts.
- Provide regular management reporting; detailing results, financial drivers, analysis and insights. Participate in cross-functional meetings; confidently communicating results and relevant context to recommend courses of action that will continually develop business outcomes.
- Oversee the P&L for the site. Analyze past results and future outcomes to recommend the best finance model to suit our operational needs. Train and coach stakeholders on the new model, increasing self-sufficiency, accountability and timely settlement each month.
- Use local knowledge and expertise to ensure all accounting activities are compliant with regulations and contractual agreements. Conduct an annual AUP with an independent 3rd party to ensure compliance with key processes (e.g. procurement, payment, accuracy of billing).
- Develop use cases to safeguard business practices. Provide well versed independent financial analysis to support stakeholder decision making.
- Work closely with our globally located Finance Team to ensure the business’s accounting policy and recording practices are fully complied with.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor degree in finance or related discipline with professional accounting qualification(s)
- Minimum of 4-5 years work experience handling managerial Finance and Accounting roles, with 3 years of stakeholder management in a complex organization.
- Solid experience in procure to pay process and operations, controllership, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and internal controls
- Strong control awareness
- Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
- Experience hiring and managing a small team of direct reports
- Experience managing expenses, payroll,
- Strong understanding of Philippines Labor Laws
