THE OPPORTUNITY
Our partner, an Australian-based investment firm focused on expanding both private and publicly listed portfolios, is looking for
Credit Controller to be part of their team! They are passionate about adding value to investments support and entrepreneurs’ dreams with the resources to make big ideas into even bigger businesses. Some of the brands they manage are in wellness personal care line and a premium skincare label.
As a
Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in overseeing the entire credit control function, ensuring accurate records and timely collections. This includes managing accounts receivable, handling customer invoicing, tracking payments, and supporting smooth cash flow operations. You will also be working closely with the Australian stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivable process.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions and invoices.
- Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable status to management.
- Reconcile accounts and coordinate with customers regarding outstanding payments.
- Investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries, keeping accounts up to date.
- Maintain accurate customer records, including reflecting cash receipts, updating credit limits, and account information.
- Allocate customer credits, discounts, and rebates accurately to invoices and accounts.
- Collaborate with team members in Sales, Customer Service, and Finance.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships by providing excellent customer service.
- Perform weekly sales reporting and maintain a cashflow forecast.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit control/accounts receivable or similar roles.
- Experience in FMCG is preferred
- Preferred experience with Xero but an experience in similar accounting software will be ideal
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes, invoicing, and credit management.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable communicating confidently via phone and email.
