Our client is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with fellow Cloud Engineers across various countries, designing, implementing, managing, and delivering solutions in the Public Cloud Domain. As part of the Cloud Engineering Chapter within the Retail Tech Department, you will collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and DevSecOps teams to deliver a safe and compliant infrastructure. What You'll Do

As a Cloud Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop applications and platform features as defined by the Product Owner. You will build deployment pipelines for these applications and platforms while drafting effective technical solutions that align with business needs. Your role will also involve investigating new technologies for potential implementation, performing proof-of-concepts on technology proposals, providing technical consultation to other engineering teams, managing applications and platforms, and implementing necessary security controls and policies.

• Develop applications and platform features defined by the Product Owner
• Build deployment pipelines for applications and platforms
• Draft effective technical solutions that fit business needs and requirements
• Investigate and assess technologies for implementation
• Perform Proof-of-Concepts on technology proposals
• Provide technical consultation on applications and platforms to other Engineering teams
• Manage, maintain, update, and upgrade applications and platforms
• Implement security controls and policies required
  
  

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for this Cloud Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in various areas. You have worked extensively with Cloud Services such as Azure or GCP. Your background includes Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. You are knowledgeable in Automation and have created CICD Pipelines using Azure DevOps. Your skills extend to Source Code Version Control Systems like Git. You have experience in containerization and container orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes. Additionally, you have worked with Linux-based Operating Systems and are comfortable working in an Agile environment.

• Experience and knowledge of Cloud Services (Azure, GCP)
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience in Automation and creating CICD Pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Experience in Source Code Version Control Systems (Git)
