The Medical Coder Trainee will be responsible for learning and applying coding standards for medical diagnoses and procedures.

• Assist in coding medical records
• Learn to use coding software
• Participate in training sessions

For Non-IP Coders:

• At least 1 year of Profee, ED, OBS, or SDS coding experience

For IP Coders:

• At least 6 months of IP coding experience

Requirements

• Must have an active certification: CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC-A
• Licensed PHRN or graduate of any Medical Allied Course
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills
• Eager to learn and grow through the CSU
