Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a full-time team member to join us as an Accountant/Bookkeeper while working at the comfort of your home. We are looking for someone who is ecstatic and enthusiastic to learn new skill sets every day to join our company. Someone who is willing to work the day shift (AEST), self-motivated, detail-oriented, excellent in communication, and passionate about learning.


About the role

As the Accountant, you will be responsible for end to end accounting functions including banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, month end reporting, and other accounting tasks as required. You will be working in a close knit team towards a common goal, supporting and providing great services to the business.


The key responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive end-to-end accounting processing and reporting for business units.
  • Daily management of banking, cash receipts, and payment allocations.
  • Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable function and credit account application process.
  • Manage and oversee Accounts Payable via a paperless system, including bank validation process for suppliers.
  • Preparation and production of EOM financial reports.
  • Perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Promptly addressing customer inquiries
  • Preparation and reconciliation of BAS/GST lodgments.
  • Run Quarterly Payroll and Yearly Reconciliation.
  • Manage workers compensation insurance renewal process.
  • Liaise with accounting firm/auditors, tax authorities, and other external partners as needed.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and financial analysis.
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial ERP systems.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Accounting (CPA passer not required but is an advantage).
  • A minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in similar role
  • Must have 2-3 years Australian accounting experience.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of Netsuite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and accounting standard.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic.
