    Career Development

Responsibilities

  • Architect and optimize the order execution layer for the firm’s high-frequency market-making, arbitrage, and short-cycle strategies, including but not limited to order slicing, placement strategies, cancellation logic, Smart Order Routing, and cross-exchange matching.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of exchange/trading-pair microstructure characteristics (order-book depth, order‐book dynamics, matching priority, maker-taker fee structure, latency distribution) and translate findings into actionable strategy adjustments.
  • Design, develop, and implement execution algorithms (e.g., TWAP, VWAP, POV, Iceberg orders, dynamic passive/aggressive hybrid strategies) to maximize fill efficiency and minimize slippage/market impact.
  • Monitor execution quality, slippage, impact, hedge latency, and execution costs (including trading fees, funding rates, cancellation costs, cross-exchange transfer times) in real time; produce regular TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) reports to drive execution improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with strategy research and quant development teams to operationalize alpha signals at the execution layer; optimize system latency, throughput, and robustness.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting frameworks for the execution system to swiftly respond and activate fallback procedures in case of anomalies (e.g., API latency, sudden liquidity shifts, exchange outages, cross-exchange transfer delays).
  • In crypto contexts, optimize routing strategies across multiple crypto exchanges and product types (spot/perpetual).
  • Continuously research market-structure evolution (changes in centralized exchanges, algorithmic counterparty behavior) and integrate new insights into execution strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field; Master’s or higher preferred.
  • Strong programming skills with proficiency in at least one language (e.g., Python, C++, Rust, Go) for algorithm implementation, data analysis, and system integration.
  • Deep understanding of market microstructure, order‐book matching mechanisms, liquidity theory, price impact, and transaction‐cost models; HFT/high‐frequency execution experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with crypto exchanges and products (spot, perpetual futures, options, DeFi/DEX pools) and their execution characteristics (API design, passive/active order behavior, funding rates, cross-exchange latency, etc.).
  • Practical experience in HFT or market making, arbitrage, and execution algorithm design/optimization preferred; ability to measure slippage, impact, and latency in live trading and propose improvements.
  • Proficiency with data analysis/backtesting tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, or specialized HFT tools) and the ability to extract statistical features from tick-level order-book data.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across research, development, trading, and risk teams; highly execution-oriented with rapid response to urgent execution issues.
  • Good English reading proficiency, able to comprehend technical and financial literature in English.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Production execution experience in multi-exchange, high-frequency trading environments (especially crypto exchanges).
  • Expert-level C++ or Rust skills with practical low-latency system design experience.
  • Experience in cross-exchange arbitrage, pre-funding, cross-chain transfers, or DEX market making.
  • Understanding or research background in MEV, blockchain, and cryptoeconomics mechanisms.
  • Published or internally utilized quantitative/execution research reports (e.g., market impact models, microstructure analyses, TCA reports).
  • Direct P&L responsibility experience in hedging or market making.
