Job Description

Job Summary

The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth. This role oversees content creation, community management, analytics, and paid social initiatives across all relevant platforms.


Key Responsibilities


Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with company goals and marketing objectives
  • Identify target audiences and develop platform-specific strategies to engage them effectively.
  • Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices


Content Management

  • Plan, create, and publish high-quality content (text, graphics, video, reels, stories, etc.)
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting across all platforms
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency


Community Management

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
  • Foster positive relationships with followers, influencers, and partners
  • Manage online reputation and escalate issues when necessary


Analytics & Reporting


  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools
  • Measure KPIs such as engagement, reach, conversions, and follower growth
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize performance


Paid Social Media

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media campaigns
  • Manage budgets, targeting, creatives, and A/B testing
  • Analyze ROI and campaign effectiveness


Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer support teams
  • Support product launches, promotions, and campaigns through social media
  • Coordinate with external agencies or influencers when required


Qualifications


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms for a brand or business


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines


Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout, Meta Business Suite)
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools is a plus
  • Understanding of social media advertising platforms and analytics tools


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Engagement rate and audience growth
  • Reach and impressions
  • Lead generation or conversions from social channels
  • ROI of paid social campaigns
