The responsibilities associated with this position include:

  • Manages financial modeling, planning, and budgeting for key projects to achieve SNAP’s long-term and short-term financial goals.
  • Presents variance analysis and explanation of financial statements and highlights issues.
  • Producing models to project long-term growth and determine the impacting business factors.
  • Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Delivery of market analysis, market trends, and associated commentary
  • Preparing business cases to support the investment, strategy, and other business decisions
  • Builds budgets and forecasts of future company performance.
  • Provides financial advisory services to team members across SNAP to determine the possible impact of relevant issues on valuation and investment cases. This includes conducting research, challenging the validity of assumptions, evaluating the impact of deal structures and financing options, and preparing management reports and presentations.
  • Generates higher return on investment than the initial cost of financing by recommending value creation solutions and financing solutions to SNAP as a whole.
  • Supports the projection process, including review of submitted forecasts, integration with other data sources, and communication of results and implications to management
  • Develops and implements SNAP’s financial policies. Works with the Revenue Management, FP&A and Accounting group to ensure that financial policies are aligned and developed and optimized in a timely manner.
  • Builds, maintains, and enhances financial models and analyses in support of SNAP’s business goals.
  • Collaborates with SNAP Leadership team in providing expertise on Corporate Finance processes and policies
  • Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances and issues and recommends and takes appropriate action including proactively notifying business or financial stakeholders and senior management.
  • Acts as the Subject-Matter-Expert on financial related processes and policies
  • Develops presentation materials and deck for board meetings and other senior executive requests.
  • Defines boundaries on pricing and structuring of contracts. Recommends and influences deal negotiations by providing input on structures to align contract terms and business objectives, as well as reviewing significant revenue-related agreements to guide the team.
  • Partner as a technical reference on finance matters with the Commercial Team during new product (e.g. Trading & Origination) and contract development, negotiation process and review to ensure desired revenue treatment is achieved and complies with company policies and procedures, tax regulations and industry rules
  • Provide leadership and direction in the analysis, profitability evaluation and reporting of existing and newly-developed products or contracts impacted by the interplay of settlement determinants (price, quantity, derivatives concepts, etc.)
  • Ensure coordination with Commercial Team to resolve customer issues and recommend corrective action and/or improvements


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance
  • Experience in financial modeling, coordinating with external parties (banks, partners, etc)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management or Accounting

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA
  • With commercial experience in Power Industry
