A Sales Assistant supports the sales team in various tasks to ensure smooth operations and help achieve sales goals.
They engage with customers, provide product information, assist with purchases, maintain the store's appearance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers with their inquiries and product needs.
Provide detailed information about products and services.
Upsell and cross-sell products to meet customer needs and boost sales.
Handle returns, exchanges, and complaints professionally.
Sales Support:
Assist in organizing store displays and maintaining stock levels.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
Help manage the sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and accessible.
Prepare and package products for delivery or collection.
Inventory Management:
Assist in stock checks and inventory management.
Replenish stock and ensure products are well-organized.
Report low stock levels to the sales team or manager.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist with preparing sales reports and tracking sales goals.
Handle customer orders, both online and in-store.
Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.

High school diploma or equivalent (Some positions may require further education or certifications).
Experience:
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus.
