The Merchandiser is responsible for the visual presentation, product placement, and promotional displays of pharmacy products to maximize sales, enhance customer experience, and maintain brand standards across pharmacy locations.

Key Responsibilities

Product Display and Placement

• Execute planograms and merchandising guidelines for all product categories
• Arrange products in an attractive, organized, and accessible manner
• Ensure proper placement of prescription, over-the-counter, and retail merchandise
• Create eye-catching displays for seasonal items and promotional products
• Maintain product facings and ensure shelves are fully stocked and fronted

Inventory and Stock Management

• Monitor stock levels on the sales floor and replenish as needed
• Rotate products according to expiration dates using FEFO/FIFO methods
• Remove expired, damaged, or recalled products from shelves immediately
• Assist with receiving shipments and organizing backroom inventory
• Conduct regular shelf audits to identify out-of-stock items

Pricing and Signage

• Update price labels and shelf tags accurately and promptly
• Install promotional signage and point-of-sale materials
• Ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with advertised prices
• Remove outdated promotional materials and signage

Visual Merchandising

• Design and set up seasonal and promotional displays
• Implement cross-merchandising strategies to increase sales
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all display areas
• Ensure displays comply with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Utilize fixtures, props, and signage creatively to enhance visual appeal

Compliance and Standards

• Follow company merchandising standards and brand guidelines
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical product placement regulations
• Maintain separation between prescription and non-prescription areas
• Adhere to health and safety protocols when handling products

Communication and Reporting

• Communicate stock needs and out-of-stock items to management
• Report damaged products, pricing errors, and display issues
• Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff to optimize product placement
• Document completed projects and submit merchandising reports

Customer Service

• Assist customers in locating products and provide basic product information
• Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor at all times
• Keep aisles clear and safe for customer navigation
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability
