CDI Specialist – USRN

Qualifications

• Active PHRN and USRN license
• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Open to training USRNs with bedside experience who are looking to transition into the Clinical Process Outsourcing (CPO) industry as CDI Specialists
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience in ICU, Telemetry, Emergency Department (ED), or Medical-Surgical units
• Willing to work onsite and on a mid-shift schedule

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records to ensure accurate and complete clinical documentation
• Identify documentation gaps and initiate physician queries to support appropriate diagnoses and procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, coders, and healthcare teams to improve documentation quality and compliance
• Apply clinical knowledge to support accurate severity of illness (SOI) and risk of mortality (ROM) capture
