Reporting directly to the Media Relations Lead, the Media Relations Executive is immersed in day-to-day support of account deliverables and meeting media-related key performance indicators.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

• Attends client meetings and prepares data/presentations related to media and media engagements
• Reports progress of deliverables and escalates issues pertaining to media concerns, publicity, and media landscape
• Contacts and coordinates with suppliers for logistical support

CLIENT SERVICING

• Performs research tasks on client or brand, and its industry to gather relevant data and assess specific media needs and opportunities
• Provides support and insights on editorial materials targeting media such as press releases, talk points, feature stories, and other executions
• Identifies target media for media engagements and publicity efforts and invites approved media to activations/media engagements
• Creates pitch letters and seeds client-approved press releases to appropriate media
• Creates publicity trackers and coverage reports with media values, quality of pick-ups, and provides media-related data in post-event reports
• Establishes and sustains media connections through media engagements through media rounds, roundtable discussions, events, socials, etc.

ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS

• Develops a media plan for the agency to sustain and establish relationships with media e.g. agency media socials, parties, gift-giving, etc.
• Creates and updates the media database with contact details, designations, publications, and profiles

INFLUENCER MANAGEMENT

• Creates and updates influencer database with contact details, categories, rates, etc.
• Negotiates rates with influencers targeted for client campaigns
• Identifies and proposes influencers specific to needs of clients in support of the PR team and the Digital team
