RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily plant operations and ensure optimal solar energy output
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Monitor system performance and implement efficiency improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor technical staff and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate reports logs, and documentation for operational performance
  • Design electrical systems and layouts for solar panel installations (residential, commercial, and industrial).
  • Perform load analysis, system sizing, and layout planning based on site requirements and energy needs.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD or similar tools.
  • Supervise installation of inverters, panels, cabling, grounding, switchboards, and other electrical components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and engineering standards.
  • Conduct field inspections and site evaluations for solar power system installation and commissioning.
  • Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and quality control checks during and after installation.
  • Prepare technical reports, test results, and as-built drawings upon project completion.
  • Provide post-installation maintenance support, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation of systems.
  • Recommend upgrades, replacements, or modifications to improve performance and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) is preferred
  • Preferably with proven experience in electrical system design and implementation, preferably in the solar energy or renewable energy sector.
  • Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, inverters, and grid-tied/off-grid systems.
  • Strong understanding of local electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills. Efficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Willing to be assigned under Sunpower Partners Corporation.
