About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing & Hydraulics Estimator with strong expertise in stormwater and drainage systems to support ongoing estimating requirements for Australian projects. This role is part-time and best suited for a detail-oriented professional who has previously worked with Australian companies or Australian-based clients.

Experience with Australian standards, drawings, and estimating practices is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for plumbing and hydraulic works
• Interpret Australian construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Conduct detailed take-offs for:
• Hydraulic services
• Stormwater systems
• Sewer and drainage works
• Review project documentation and identify scope, risks, and exclusions
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify scope and pricing
• Ensure estimates comply with Australian codes, standards, and best practices
• Provide revisions and value engineering suggestions when required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Plumbing / Hydraulics Estimator
• Strong experience in stormwater and drainage systems
• Previous experience working with an Australian company or Australian clients (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Solid understanding of Australian standards (e.g., NCC, AS/NZS codes)
• Ability to read and interpret Australian hydraulic and plumbing drawings
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with estimating software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Cubit, or similar)

• Experience working remotely with Australian teams

• Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a part-time capacity
