The Aluminum/UPVC Windows Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations for windows and doors made from aluminum and UPVC materials. The role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine material, labor, and time requirements. The Estimator collaborates closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure precise costing and efficient project execution.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications to determine aluminum/UPVC window and door requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material breakdowns based on project plans.
• Prepare cost estimates, including materials, labor, accessories (locks, hinges, handles), and installation.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations for materials and services.
• Prepare and submit quotations and bidding documents on time.
• Coordinate with the design, production, and procurement teams to validate cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits or surveys when required to assess actual conditions.
• Track and update price trends of aluminum, UPVC, glass, and hardware components.
• Support the project team in cost control and variation orders during project execution.
• Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and project histories for reference in future bids.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in estimating aluminum/UPVC doors and windows.
• Familiarity with local and international standards for aluminum and UPVC fabrication and installation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam).
• Good understanding of fabrication techniques, cutting lists, and installation methods.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction materials pricing in the Philippine market is a must.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Experience with Curtain Wall, Storefront, and Cladding Systems.
• Ability to prepare shop drawings and fabrication schedules is a plus.
• Experience in dealing with general contractors and developers in the Philippines.
• Familiarity with Green Building / LEED requirements is an advantage.
