The Production Operator is responsible for performing inspection, solder touch-up, and assembly work on electronic components and products according to the company’s work instructions and quality standards.

This position requires attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to follow instructions carefully.

The operator must be able to read, write, calculate basic numbers, and not be colour blind to ensure correct component identification and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual assembly of electronic parts, PCB boards, and sub-assemblies according to work instructions.
• Carry out visual inspection of PCBs and products to check for defects such as missing parts, wrong polarity, or poor solder joints.
• Perform solder touch-up or rework using a soldering iron to repair joints or replace components when needed.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), and ESD control guidelines.
• Handle components carefully to avoid damage and maintain quality.
• Record daily production output, inspection results, and report any issues to the Line Leader or Supervisor.
• Keep workstation clean and organized (follow 5S principles).
• Follow all safety rules and wear PPE as required (e.g., ESD strap, safety shoes).

Requirements:

• Education: Able to read, write, and calculate basic numbers (SPM or equivalent preferred).
• Experience: Experience in electronic assembly, inspection, or soldering is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

1. Good eyesight (not colour blind).
2. Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Skills:

1. Able to follow instructions accurately.
2. Able to identify electronic components and polarity markings.
3. Basic understanding of quality control and visual inspection.
4. Responsible, punctual, and willing to work overtime or shifts.
