The Material Planning Staff is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials required for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role involves creating accurate material forecasts, coordinating with suppliers, and addressing production-related issues to avoid delays. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain material plans to support production schedules
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Prepare accurate forecasts and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Analyze production requirements and resolve material-related issues promptly
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
• Utilize Microsoft Office and planning software for reporting and data analysis
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and apply lean manufacturing principles
• Maintain accurate records of material transactions and supplier performance

Qualifications:

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field

Experience:

• 2–3 years of experience in production and material planning
• Preferably in a Japanese manufacturing or industrial setting (automotive or electronics industry)

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant planning software
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
