About the Role

The Production Manager is responsible for Production Operation Adherence by ensuring proper use of manpower resources, overseeing production processes, and maintaining efficient utilization of all production equipment. The Production Manager is also responsible in effectively planning and organizing production operations to minimize downtime, reduce waste, and promote a safe work environment for all workers in the Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Directs the production line activities to ensure that the expected performance and quality output is efficiently and timely achieved.
• Work in Progress (WIP)
• Manages and coordinates all stages of production including compounding, mixing, filling and packaging.
• Manages the utilization of resources (machines, manpower, materials) to obtain maximum efficiency in meeting the planned performance in the line
• Communicates, collaborates, and coordinates with the diverse teams both internal and external
• Guarantee that all products comply with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP).
• Compliance and implementation of required systems (e.g., FDA, GMP etc.).
• Leads and manages production staff, assigns tasks, monitors performance, and ensures adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
• Oversees production activities and plans for preventive maintenance in advance
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards within the production area.
• Leads production personnel into forming more efficient tactical daily routines.
• Initiate programs to attain and improve manufacturing indicators such as:

1. Product Yield
2. On time Delivery
3. Production Plan/Output
4. Manpower Management
5. Process Optimization
6. Material Management
7. Quality
8. Safety, Environment, Health and Security
9. Others as required

• Reviews and approves daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Maintains personnel morale and provides adequate training to them yearly.
• Ensures the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output. - TL/Supervisor

• Implements and promotes Kaizen principles by identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity while maintaining high quality standards. - implement kaizen program first
• Identifies bottlenecks and production line imbalances to improve line efficiency. - supervisor
• Gathers production and other line issues and develops action plans to address concerns affecting production output. - Sup
• Performs related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations of cosmetics, food and drugs, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow management. Familiarity with FDA, GMP, ISO standards, and safety regulations. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Knowledge of:

o Production Management and manufacturing processes and workflows for efficient operations.

o Quality Management Systems (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO standards.

o Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations related to manufacturing.

o Production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation techniques.

o Preventive maintenance strategies and equipment troubleshooting.

o Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.

o Inventory management and supply chain coordination.

o Cost control and budgeting for production operations.

o Data analysis and reporting tools for monitoring performance and KPIs.

o ERP systems or other production management software.
