We are seeking a motivated Junior Zend/Laminas Developer to join our development team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills while working on real-world applications in a collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced developers to build and maintain web applications using the Zend/Laminas Framework, contributing to our unified communications platform.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using the Zend/Laminas Framework
• Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to implement user-facing features
• Assist in creating database schemas that support business processes
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimise performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Learn and adopt new technologies and frameworks as needed.

Qualifications: 

Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in PHP and familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts
• Basic understanding of the Zend/Laminas Framework
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional development environment.

Preferred: 

• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
• Understanding of web application security principles
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with PHPUnit or other testing frameworks
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Understanding of MVC architecture patterns
