• To lead the Technical Department in the plan review and approval and ensure that ship plans and designs meet the established standards and regulations of the class PRS.

 Scope of Duties:

• Review ship plans and designs to ensure compliance with classification society standards and regulations.
• Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify any discrepancies or non-compliance issues and recommend necessary modifications.
• Approve ship plans and designs that meet classification society standards.
• Communicate with ship designers, builders, and owners to address any concerns or required changes.
• Ensure that all approvals are documented and properly recorded.
• Provide technical support to ship designers, builders, and surveyors regarding classification standards and requirements.
• Assist in interpreting and implementing classification society guidelines during the plan review process.
• Stay updated on the latest regulations and standards in ship classification.
• Monitor ongoing projects to ensure continued compliance with approved plans and classification standards.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits of ship construction and modifications.
• Report any deviations from approved plans and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of reviewed and approved plans.
• Ensure that all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible for future reference.
• Prepare reports on plan review and approval activities.
• Perform other duties as may be directed by Technical Head/Assistant Technical Head

• Must be a Registered Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer,
• At least 24 years old, personable, responsible, self-motivated, hardworking, with good oral and written English communication skill
• Working Knowledge of Maxsurf Software or similar naval architecture/design tools
• Strong understanding of ship construction, design, and classification standards.
• Thoroughness in reviewing and approving ship plans and designs.
• Ability to identify and address discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple plan reviews and ensure timely approvals
