Description

The Operations Supervisor oversees daily manpower operations within a hotel, ensuring efficient deployment and performance of outsourced staff such as housekeeping, cleaning, public area attendants, porters, and other support roles. The supervisor acts as the liaison between the hotel management and the manpower agency, ensuring service quality, staffing levels, and compliance with hotel and agency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Staff Supervision & Coordination

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned manpower staff within the hotel.
  • Assign tasks and shifts according to hotel needs and occupancy levels.
  • Monitor attendance, grooming, conduct, and productivity of deployed staff.
  • Ensure proper handovers between shifts and resolve any staffing issues promptly.

2. Quality Control & Standards

  • Ensure agency staff deliver services in line with hotel brand standards and guest expectations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of public areas, and back-of-house facilities for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Enforce safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.

3. Administrative Duties

  • Prepare daily attendance records, incident reports, and performance summaries.
  • Report manpower needs, staff shortages, or disciplinary issues to the Operations/Area Manager.
  • Maintain updated staff rosters, ID tracking, and contract documentation.

4. Training & Development

  • Conduct on-site orientation and job-specific training for new staff.
  • Reinforce service standards and refreshers on hotel procedures as needed.
  • Identify staff performance gaps and recommend corrective training or replacement.


Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in hotel operations or manpower services.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
  • Working knowledge of hotel cleaning, room servicing, and support functions.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken); other languages a plus.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Willing to be assigned in Pasay City.
