The Modern Trade Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that the company's products are properly displayed, well-stocked, and effectively promoted in key modern trade accounts such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, kiosks and membership clubs. This role supports sales growth by maintaining strong relationships with store personnel, implementing merchandising standards, and monitoring market activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and visually appealing product displays following company merchandising standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, check product availability, and coordinate with sales and supply chain team for replenishment.
• Conduct regular store visits to verify product visibility, shelf arrangement, and promotional compliance.
• Implement and maintain point-of-sales (POS) materials, promotional displays, and price tags.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotions within assigned stores.
• Coordinate with supervisors and store managers to secure additional shelf space or displays opportunities.
• Ensure products are new, clean and free from damage; manage product pullouts when necessary.
• Assist in executing in-store promotions and sampling activities when required.
• Provide timely reports on store conditions, sales movement, and merchandising issues.
• Maintain good working relationships with key modern trade partners.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in merchandising, sales or FMCG is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of modern trade operations is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to handle product movements and display setups.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Willing to travel and work on-field regularly.
