- Test and analyze blood, urine, and tissue samples in the lab, reporting results to medical professionals.
- Maintain accuracy of results by calibrating and monitoring lab equipment, and ensuring quality control of specimens.
- Interpret data, identify errors, and correct them during the testing process.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient diagnosis and treatment information.
- Stay updated with new developments in laboratory sciences through training and conferences.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean lab environment.
- Keep precise records of lab tests and procedures in line with regulation and standards.
- Notify supervisors of observed problems during testing and assist in troubleshooting lab operations.
- Clinical Laboratory Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology
- Certification as a Medical Technologist
- Specialized Certifications (Optional)
- Knowledge of Laboratory Instruments and Equipment
- Familiarity with Regulatory Standards
- Collaboration with Medical Professionals
- Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Ethics and Confidentiality
