I. Job Responsibilities
1. Global Customer Research and Development Support
• Source contact information for existing clients and initiate first contact
• Research potential clients worldwide and conduct initial outreach
2. Data Platform Management and Data Entry
• Update and maintain the company’s software database
3. Chartering Operations Support
• Gather port charges and cargo handling rates at various ports; perform basic freight rate calculations
• Assist in calculating demurrage/despatch, drafting guarantees, and reviewing contracts
4. Business Assistant Tasks
• Compile global port line-ups
• Collect vessel data and support basic development tasks
Other ad hoc assignments as required
II. Job Requirements
1. Education Level
Full-time senior-year undergraduates or second-/third-year master’s students
2. Language Proficiency
• Excellent English reading and writing skills for international business communications
• Proficiency in Vietnamese, Filipino or other secondary languages is a plus
3. Core Competencies
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for clear, accurate exchanges
• Strong interest in shipping, international trade or logistics
• Pragmatic attitude: proactive, responsible and focused on gaining experience and delivering results
4. Preferred Professional Background
• Majors in Shipping Management, Maritime Law, English (Business/Translation), International Trade, Transportation or related fields preferred
• Exceptional candidates from other disciplines with demonstrated interest in shipping also welcome
5. Basic Requirements
• Detail-oriented, diligent and quick to learn
• Strong information gathering, organization, summarization and data processing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
