Job Description
- Client consultation: Meet with clients to determine their goals, needs, budget, and preferences for the space.
- Design development: Create preliminary sketches, mood boards, and detailed 2D/3D design plans using software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Material and product selection: Research, select, and specify finishes, furniture, lighting, and other decorative items.
- Cost estimation: Estimate project costs and manage budgets to ensure the project stays within the client's financial constraints.
- Project management: Create project timelines, coordinate with contractors, electricians, and other tradespeople, and supervise the installation process.
- Compliance and safety: Research and ensure the design adheres to building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
- Client presentations: Present design concepts, drawings, and material samples to clients for approval.
