Underwriting Assistant

Job Description
- Issues and renew insurance and bond policies including endorsements.
- Prepare renewal notices to all insured clients before their expiry date.
- Assist in preparing proposal’s requested by intermediaries and clients.
- Responsible for conservations, upgrading and development existing accounts.
- Responsible in authentication of all issued/renewed CTPL accounts.
- Assist marketing in the computation of premium rates and appropriate coverages.
- Will perform other related works on marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Marketing, or any related field
- Prior experience in insurance policy issuance, renewals, or underwriting is an advantage (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Basic understanding of insurance products, coverages, and policy documentation
- Familiarity with CTPL (Compulsory Third Party Liability) policy processing and authentication is an advantage
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail in document handling and policy issuance
- Proficient in preparing proposals, quotations, and renewal notices
- Ability to support marketing efforts in premium computation and coverage recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with intermediaries, clients, and internal teams
- Capable of maintaining and developing existing client accounts through active conservation and account upgrading initiatives
- Willingness to perform other related tasks in support of the marketing team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
