We are a well-established wastewater treatment service provider seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Instrumentation Engineer to support the design, optimization, installation, and maintenance of automation and control systems. The role involves hands-on engineering work, troubleshooting, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure reliable system performance. This position is ideal for engineers seeking hands-on experience in wastewater treatment automation systems and project-based engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support design and engineering of existing wastewater treatment automation systems.
• Optimize current PLC-based control systems and assist with future SCADA implementation.
• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, PLCs, and electrical panels.
• Prepare load schedules, calculate total connected load, and develop electrical and automation schematic diagrams.
• Troubleshoot issues related to PLC systems, electrical panels, and field instruments.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors during calibration, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure systems meet project and operational requirements.
• Report to and work closely with the Engineering Manager on project execution and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in instrumentation or automation.
• Certification or accreditation in Automation and Control Systems is required.
• Hands-on experience with process instrumentation.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience with field instruments and analyzers.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on-site.
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Required Skills

• PLC-based automation systems (SCADA knowledge is an advantage).
