Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to lead and manage the human resource functions of our Philippines operations. This role also involves handling basic accounting processes, payroll preparation, and direct coordination with local government offices (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, BIR, DOLE, etc.). The ideal candidate will be proactive, well-organised, and confident in working independently while ensuring full compliance with local labour laws and internal policies.


Key Responsibilities:


Human Resources

· Manage the end-to-end HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.

· Maintain and update employee records, contracts.

· Develop and implement HR policies in line with local regulations and company standards.

· Handle employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary processes with fairness and compliance.

· Coordinate staff training, development, and engagement initiatives.


Payroll & Government Compliance

· Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.

· Handle mandatory contributions and filings: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR.

· Ensure compliance with DOLE standards, including holiday pay, benefits, and employee rights.

· Coordinate with external payroll or accounting service providers.

· Maintain confidentiality of salary data and employee personal information.


Basic Accounting Support

· Monitor and report petty cash expenses and local office expenditures.

· Assist with monthly financial summaries and local vendor payments.

· Coordinate with the main finance team for audit requirements and reconciliation.


Government Liaison

· Confidently communicate and liaise with Philippine government agencies and offices as required.

· Process government documents such as business permits, employee certifications, and compliance renewals.

· Represent the company during inspections, audits, or official inquiries.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR and payroll roles in the Philippines.

· Solid understanding of local labour laws, statutory benefits, and payroll regulations.

· Experience working with government agencies such as SSS, BIR, DOLE, etc.

· Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

· Strong interpersonal and excellent English communication skills.

· High level of integrity, confidentiality, and organisational discipline.

· Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with HRIS/payroll
