The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all HR functions to support the operational and strategic goals of the logistics, trucking, and overhauling company. This role ensures effective workforce planning, compliance with labor laws, talent acquisition for drivers and operational staff, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy implementation in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities


1. HR Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with
  • business and operational objectives.
  • Plan manpower requirements for drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, warehouse staff, and support roles.
  • Partner with operations and fleet managers to
  • anticipate staffing needs and reduce downtime due to manpower shortages.


2. Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for drivers, heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and administrative roles.
  • Develop employer branding initiatives to attract and retain qualified logistics and transport professionals.


3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Handle employee relations issues, grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused, and performance-driven workplace culture.
  • Implement employee engagement, retention, and welfare programs.


4. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Coordination

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs aligned with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with finance/payroll for accurate and timely payroll processing, including overtime, trip-based pay, and incentives.
  • Monitor salary structures, allowances, and benefits for drivers and operational staff.


5. Performance Management & Training

  • Implement performance evaluation systems for both office-based and field employees.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate programs related to safety, compliance, leadership, and technical skills.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.


6. Labor Law Compliance & HR Policies

  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and code of conduct.
  • Represent the company in labor-related inspections, audits, and hearings when required.


7. Health, Safety & Risk Management (HR-related)

  • Collaborate with safety and operations teams to promote workplace safety and accident prevention.
  • Support implementation of safety training, incident reporting, and disciplinary actions related to violations.
  • Monitor absenteeism, turnover, and accident-related manpower risks.


8. HR Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR databases.
  • Prepare HR reports on headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, and compliance status.
  • Manage HR budgets and optimize HR processes for efficiency.
