We’re seeking an experienced Credit Risk Head who will play a critical role in shaping and executing our company’s risk strategy—ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth.
What You’ll Bring to the Organization:
As the Head of Credit Risk Management, you will elevate the company’s risk management framework by establishing a disciplined, data-driven approach to credit evaluation, policy development, and portfolio oversight. Your leadership will ensure that risk is not only managed, but anticipated, measured, and turned into a competitive advantage.
You will work across all three business units, overseeing the entire credit lifecycle—from origination and evaluation to documentation, account management, and collections, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to address emerging risks at every stage.
Through strong collaboration with underwriting, sales, finance, and executive leadership, you will help define our credit risk appetite, monitor adherence to it, and lead the review of key risk indicators. Your ability to translate complex risk factors into actionable strategies will be essential in driving consistent portfolio quality and operational excellence.
Your Strategic Impact:
Strengthen Credit Risk Governance by leading the periodic review and enhancement of credit policies aligned with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
Oversee Risk Mitigation Across Business Units by identifying, assessing, and proactively addressing credit risks, ensuring consistent application of internal controls throughout the credit lifecycle.
Shape Risk Appetite and Tolerance by contributing to the development and refinement of the company’s risk appetite framework, and ensuring exceptions are tracked and monitored for alignment with approved standards.
Drive Predictive Risk Management through regular review and calibration of credit modeling tools (e.g., scorecards, risk acceptance criteria) to address emerging issues and ensure model relevance and effectiveness.
Enable Informed Decision-Making by providing timely and actionable insights on portfolio performance, sector-specific risk trends, and market-driven influences impacting credit quality.
Promote a Culture of Compliance and Accountability by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and embedding a proactive, risk-aware mindset across teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in credit and risk management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of credit risk principles, financial analysis, regulatory frameworks, and credit policy development.
Strategic Insight: Ability to assess sector and macroeconomic trends to anticipate and mitigate future credit risks.
Leadership & Influence: Strong stakeholder management skills and the emotional intelligence to navigate diverse agendas and drive alignment in high-pressure environments.
Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in data-driven risk assessment, credit modeling, and portfolio analysis to support sound decision-making.
