About the job:
- Team Leadership and Strategy. Lead and manage a globally distributed team of legal professionals, including lawyers and paralegals, ensuring alignment with the Group's strategic objectives and operational needs.
- Contract Lifecycle Management. Oversee the entire lifecycle of client contracts, including the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of legal templates; manage contract negotiation, execution, and post-signature change control processes, ensuring timely and risk-mitigated outcomes.
- Contract Review Operations. Establish and maintain efficient, round-the-clock processes for client contract reviews in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including project managers and business leads; ensure clarity, speed, and consistency in legal communication.
- Contract Advisory and Negotiation. Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance across the Group on contract creation, risk allocation, and compliance; participate in key contract negotiations with clients upon request to secure favourable terms and mitigate exposure.
- Contractual Risk Resolution. Act as point of escalation for resolving contractual issues both with external counterparties and internal Synpulse entities, fostering proactive risk management and constructive outcomes.
- Non-Client Contract Support. Support the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts unrelated to client engagements, such as procurement, partnership, and corporate documentation.
- Compliance Governance. Design, implement, and monitor group-wide compliance management strategies and frameworks; ensure policies are effectively embedded across jurisdictions and teams.
- Regulatory Awareness and Implementation. Monitor developments in relevant legal and regulatory environments across operating jurisdictions; assess implications for the Group and oversee implementation of necessary compliance adjustments.
- Internal Knowledge and Policy Management. Maintain expert knowledge of Synpulse legal templates, contracting policy, and corporate risk appetite; serve as a central source of truth for internal legal standards and contractual positions.
- Ad-Hoc Employee Legal Matters. Provide legal support and guidance on ad-hoc employment-related issues, including employment contracts, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and internal investigations, in close coordination with P&C and senior management; ensure compliance with applicable labour laws across jurisdictions.
About you:
- Master’s degree in law, (post-graduate education with a focus on corporate law is preferred), education in an English speaking / common law country will be a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior compliance management role within a multinational organisation.
- Superior knowledge of industry regulations and corporate procedures for maintaining compliance.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages a plus.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to listen, analyse and inform appropriately while maintaining the required sensibilities in handling confidential information.
