Role Overview

We are seeking a Backend Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing high-performance, scalable systems to support rapidly growing business needs. In this role, you will own core system modules and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and the product team to ensure production stability and continuously improve system architecture. You will leverage Golang and Java to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to driving key business metrics.

Job Description

• Participate in backend system development, independently designing and implementing system modules capable of handling large-scale consumer traffic.
• Engage in early-stage requirements analysis to gain a deep understanding of user journeys and business needs, and design, implement, and test system functionalities according to product requirements, including authoring technical analysis documents.
• Ensure code quality through comprehensive unit testing and continuously improve development efficiency to support rapid product iteration.
• Manage system version releases and production deployments; maintain daily system stability by enhancing monitoring and alerting, and promptly address production issues that impact user experience.
• Analyze system bottlenecks and continuously enhance and upgrade existing systems to build scalable, high-concurrency, highly available, and low-latency services that support rapid consumer growth.
• Plan and drive the evolution of system technologies and architecture to enable new features, improved performance, and a smoother user experience.
• Design, build, and iterate the marketing growth platform and user operations product systems, contributing to related system capability development.
• Through high-performance system design, data-driven insights, and rapid delivery, build a user growth engine that supports new user acquisition, re-engagement, retention, conversion, and increased LTV, enabling global sites to implement localized operating strategies while meeting regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with solid fundamentals in computer science.
• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Experience with event-driven systems (including vouchers, tasks, etc.) or institution-facing platforms (e.g., market maker programs).
• Proficiency in Golang or Java, with hands-on experience using mainstream development and testing frameworks; familiarity with MySQL, Kafka, Redis, and other common middleware, with deep understanding of their principles and optimization techniques.
• Strong programming foundation, good coding practices, and in-depth understanding of technologies and architectures used.
• Preferred: experience building high-concurrency, high-performance systems or developing middleware and core platform components.
• Preferred: experience with multiple programming languages and growth-oriented product development.
• Strong awareness of production safety and risk management; proactive risk identification and effective troubleshooting and incident handling.
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, proactive, enthusiastic, with excellent communication and strong teamwork skills; able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Fast learner with strong logical thinking skills, able to decompose and solve complex problems, and capable of writing clear, well-structured documentation.
• Keen business acumen, able to collaborate with product and operations teams to iterate quickly and drive key business metrics.
• Proven project and system-building experience related to user growth and operations, with practical experience in at least one of the following areas:
