Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. 

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions. 
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily accounting activities.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review journal entries.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.

Month-End and Year-End Closing:Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion.

  • Prepare and review closing entries.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Compliance and Auditing:Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulations. 

  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Ensure tax compliance.

Process Improvement:Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Utilize accounting software and systems effectively.

Other Duties:Assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Provide support to other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience Level: 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Skills and Competencies: Strong skills in reconciliations, general ledger management, financial statements preparation, and proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Working Conditions: Office environment, standard working hours, occasional overtime may be required.
  • Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
