Targets of the Position:

• Ensure a safe operation at all times.
• Ensure good and punctual service on all time to all stores.

Specific powers and responsibilities:

• Make use of staff and trucks so that reliable deliveries to the stores are ensured.
• Sets up the daily delivery plan and takes record of the tours by truck, store and driver including delivery/driving times.
• Decides on the gates where each truck is loaded
• Decides on the lanes where goods are placed by Internal Transportation to be later loaded on the trucks
• Ensures that the trucks have the right temperature depending on what the goods require
• Ensures that the ideal type of truck is used according to the size of delivery and type of goods to be delivered
• Checks if pallets are stable and packed safely
• Ensures shortest and fastest routes are chosen and that trucks are full without remaining space to achieve lowest possible cost. In case of empty space, he can decide on additional pallets to be sent, and in such a case, the invoice for the store is being updated
• Ensures that all necessary documents are available when the truck leave to the stores.
• Keeps record of all damages during transportation and handles them according to the procedures decided
• Ensures that only safe trucks which comply with legal requirements or company rules. He decides on maintenance needed for his trucks to ensure a safe and cost-conscious operation.
• Ensures correct legal papers for each truck at all times
• Can visit stores as needed in order to check the unloading possibilities and in order to control truck drivers
• Can suggest to Logistics Manager when additional trucks are needed to fulfill all logistics requirements and deliveries on time
• Must be willing to work in nearby area & willing to relocate.
