We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Designer Supervisor with a strong background in modular cabinetry design and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will oversee a team of technical designers, ensuring accurate, innovative, and efficient design solutions that meet customer specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and industry standards.


This role requires a solid understanding of cabinetry systems, construction methods, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Cabinet Vision), and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technical designers.
  • Assign work, review outputs, and ensure design standards and timelines are met.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance design team culture.

Technical Design & Review:

  • Oversee the creation of technical drawings and production documents for modular cabinet systems.
  • Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet both customer and code requirements.
  • Review and approve final drawings, cut lists, and specifications before release to production.

Process & Standards Management:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve design standards, templates, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product specs and production capabilities.
  • Lead the implementation of design automation tools or processes where applicable.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and customers to clarify design requirements.
  • Support quoting, prototyping, and new product development efforts.
  • Track project timelines and deliverables, adjusting resources as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Drafting, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in cabinetry design, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Experience with modular cabinet systems in residential, commercial, or institutional sectors
  • Proficient in AUTOCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, and other relevant design software
