  • You will lead analytic client engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis through the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle, leveraging a variety of techniques (e.g., segmentation, logistic regression, principal component analysis, random forests, xgboost and decision trees).
  • You will design and write programs for data extraction, segmentation and statistical analysis on large population datasets using languages such as R, SQL and Hive.
  • You will deliver analytic insights and recommendations in succinct and compelling presentations for internal and external customers and an executive audience.
  • You will develop project proposals, sales presentations and promotional collateral to enable the adoption of integrated customer solutions supported by TransUnion.
  • You will identify strategies and opportunities for customers to test and adopt TransUnion’s analytic products and services.
  • You will provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues and maintain progress on all initiatives under minimal direct supervision.
  • You will foster a high performance culture and cultivate an environment that promotes excellence and reflects the TransUnion brand.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor degree or above in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, computer science , engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field. A track record of academic excellence
  • Experience and demonstrated success directly supporting internal or external clients over a period of at least five (5) years and at least three (3) years of professional experience performing analytic work, preferably in industries served by Transunion. These experiences may or may not overlap.
  • Multiple examples of demonstrated success end-to-end model development over a period of at least three (3) years
  • Evidence of strong analytical, critical, and creative thinking and willingness to take initiative in problem-solving. Demonstrated interest and proven career path in industries served by TransUnion, such as financial services, insurance, fraud, and digital marketing.
  • Advanced programming skills and aptitude; mastery with statistical programs such as R or Python; mastery of other programming and data manipulation languages and big data platforms (SQL, Hive, Spark, C/C++, Java); high level of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to lead complex analytic projects under limited supervision. This may entail the design, development, and delivery of complex solutions in close coordination with TransUnion’s Sales and vertical support teams, and in direct communication with customers.
  • Strong project and time management skills to lead multiple complex portfolios and work streams simultaneously with minimal if any direct supervision in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent business acumen and versatile interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at multiple levels - including executive ranks - within a complex and dynamic matrix organization. Knows the organization and can flexibility adapt to changes in business objectives or organizational structure.
  • A deep understanding of current industry challenges and trends at the level needed to proactively identify customers’ analytical needs and related business opportunities
