Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for metal fabrication projects. 
  • Material Take-offs: Conduct precise material quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications. 
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular cost reports. 
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts, including negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers. 
  • Project Evaluation: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify cost implications, risks, and value engineering opportunities. 
  • Financial Control: Ensure compliance with budget constraints, manage payments to contractors and suppliers, and prepare progress claims and invoices. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency and project success. 
  • Reporting: Prepare financial and cost reports for management and clients. 


Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cost estimator or Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience in metal fabrication or the construction industry.
