Site Acquisition Specialist

A Site Acquisition Specialist is responsible for securing sites for telecommunications projects, negotiating lease agreements, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate and evaluate potential sites for telecommunications infrastructure, such as cell towers or small cell installations
• Negotiate lease agreements with landowners, ensuring favorable terms for the company while addressing landowner concerns
• Ensure all site acquisitions comply with local zoning laws, building codes, and other regulatory requirements
• Work closely with legal, engineering, and construction teams to facilitate the site acquisition process and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted
• Manage multiple site acquisition projects concurrently, maintaining timelines and budgets while ensuring quality control throughout the process
• Serve as a point of contact for local communities and government agencies, addressing any concerns related to site development

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, real estate, business administration, or a related field is often preferred
• Previous experience in site acquisition, real estate, or telecommunications is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with zoning laws and permitting processes is beneficial

Work Environment

• The role typically involves an office setting with frequent travel to potential site locations for meetings and site assessments
• Reports to the Site Acquisition Manager or Director of Real Estate
