• This includes accurately handling cash transactions, counting change, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of a shift. 

Inventory Management:

• In some cases, cashiers may assist with tasks like checking inventory, stocking shelves, or managing returns. 

Processing Transactions:

• Cashiers scan items, calculate totals, accept various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, etc.), and provide receipts. 

• Basic math and computer skills:
• Cashiers need to be proficient in basic math for handling transactions and may also need to use point-of-sale (POS) systems.
