Description
- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other pastries using icing, fondant, airbrushing, and other techniques
- Ensure all decorated products meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Prepare icings, fondant, fillings, and decorations as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Stay current on decorating trends and techniques
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: High School/Senior High School diploma required.
- Experience Level: Less than 1 year of experience in baking or pastry arts.
- Skills and Competencies: Must demonstrate flexibility, consistency, and attention to detail in all baking tasks.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare and bake various pastries, decorate finished products, ensure quality standards.
- Working Conditions: Fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for long periods, possible exposure to heat and allergens.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong work ethic, creativity, ability to follow recipes precisely.
