Primary Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Web3 Backend Engineer to help build the next-generation decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure. As a core team member, you will design and implement high-performance, secure, low-latency trading and risk-control systems, directly handling on-chain transactions, data indexing, and asset security. Your work will be the foundation of our product’s competitive edge and stability in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities

1. Core System Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance Web3 backend services, including but not limited to on-chain trading bots, automated liquidation, arbitrage, and hedging systems.

2. Risk Control Framework: Participate in developing the core risk-control system by designing and implementing risk models and real-time alert mechanisms to ensure asset security and defend against market volatility and malicious attacks.

3. Data Infrastructure: Design and develop Subgraph-based blockchain data indexing solutions and construct an in-house centralized database to provide robust support for product decision-making, strategy backtesting, and real-time monitoring.

4. Architecture & Product-Driven Development: Lead the architecture design and development of new products and SDK versions; collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers; spearhead code development, testing, and deployment; and actively drive product launches and iterations.

5. Low-Level Library Development: Contribute to the development of underlying blockchain libraries (e.g., SDKs for interacting with EVM-compatible chains), offering stable, consistent, and efficient blockchain interaction interfaces for higher-level applications.

6. Third-Party Integration: Integrate with external data platforms and services by designing stable, efficient, and secure API interfaces.

 

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related engineering field, with over 5 years of backend development experience and at least 2 years of direct involvement in Web3/blockchain project development.

2. Web3 Tech Stack: Proficient in the Web3 ecosystem (e.g., ethers.js, viem, Hardhat, Foundry), with hands-on experience in deep smart contract interactions.

3. Programming Languages: Expertise in at least one of the following: TypeScript (Node.js) or Golang, with proven experience developing high-concurrency, production-level projects.

4. Cloud & Containers: Familiar with Docker and experienced in development and deployment on major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

5. System Architecture: Strong understanding of distributed systems and database design, with experience in building large-scale, high-concurrency systems; proficient in browser/server (B/S) architecture web services and RESTful API design.

6. Business Acumen & Problem-Solving: Excellent business understanding, logical thinking, and ability to solve complex problems.

7. Team Collaboration: Outstanding collaboration and communication skills, strong execution and iteration mindset, proactive and self-driven, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

1. Hands-on project experience with Rust.

2. Experience in the DeFi domain (e.g., DEX, derivatives) or deep involvement in related projects.

3. Open-source contribution experience or excellent English reading and writing skills.

4. In-depth understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk modeling.

5. Experience developing or maintaining Subgraphs, blockchain nodes, or indexers.
