Description

The Accounting and Finance Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role supports strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting, and plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Record journal entries and ensure general ledger accuracy in relation to cash
  • Manage receivable functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepares daily collection and disbursement reports
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Cash Flow & Treasury

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure funds are used efficiently.
  • Assist in banking transactions and relationships.
  • Support treasury management activities such as fund transfers, deposits, and loan repayments.

Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Provide financial support and analysis for business decisions and project planning.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is an advantage.
  • Proven work experience in accounting and finance roles (typically 2–5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
