DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors and supervises the work of all accounting staff to ensure that they are performing their tasks and complying with accounting and all company policies.
• Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
• Checks and approves accounts payable, general ledger, and balance sheet accounts prepared by accounting staff.
• Ensures timely preparation of balance sheet schedules for monthly review.
• Ensures accuracy and timely closing of books.
• Performs bookkeeping function by analyzing accuracy of balances of accounts at the end of the month and monthly preparation of financial statements.
• Performs monthly bank reconciliation.
• Monitors other receivable from suppliers.
• Monitors inter-branch transactions.
• Maintains investment accounts.
• Checks computation of taxes including withholding taxes on compensation, expanded withholding tax, final taxes, and value-added tax.
• Ensures timely and correct compliances to the BIR to avoid penalty charges.
• Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Accounting Manager.
