In 2003, Joel and his wife, Marissa, turned their passion for innovation into ChocoVron, the first chocolate-coated polvoron. What began as a small venture selling to friends quickly gained popularity, leading to partnerships with major retailers and a production scale that grew from 10 packs a day to thousands.
As consumer preferences shifted, ChocoVron introduced VeggieVron, a healthier polvoron with vegetable bits, followed by Manila Polvoron, the classic non-coated version. Later, NutriVron was developed, featuring vitamin-rich vegetables and stevia as a diabetic-friendly option.
From a simple idea to a household name, ChocoVron continues to innovate while preserving the beloved taste of polvoron.
ChocoVron Global Corp., founded by Joel and Marissa Yala, is renowned for introducing the first chocolate-coated polvoron—a modern twist on a beloved Filipino delicacy.
